ABOUT THE GUEST

Ron Kraybill in his own words:
I am the 5th of 7 children, born to a Mennonite farming family in Pennsylvania.  We had no TV, and the first movie I ever saw in a theater was “Love Bug” when I was 16.   Our potato rows were half a mile long – that’s a looong row to hoe!
My work is peacebuilding, and I earned my spurs mediating in church fights.   After that, I went into international political mediation but that always seemed pretty easy by comparison.

I lived in South Africa, where I was an advisor to the peace process.  One day when I was out walking the Queen of England drove past and waved at us – I kid you not, she was visiting from England!

Today I spend my days riding herd on my twin 12 year old sons, and training conflict resolution trainers.  Stuff I do for fun – a lot of walking, playing the hammered dulcimer, and singing when no one else is around (late night).
