Come see DC differently through the eyes of a fascinating local resident in this interview and improv exploration of life in DC. First, we interview a special guest about their life, their vocation and passions, and what makes DC special to them. Then we improvise a fun and freewheeling montage of scenes inspired by our interview. Produced by Erick Acuña, People of the District has a rotating cast for each show.

ABOUT THE GUEST

Tony is an award-winning director, editor, and writer, and a graduate of The Harold Ramis Film School at The Second City in Chicago, IL. He owns and operates Crowded Elevator Pictures, a film and television production company — past projects include “Heist” (winner of the Best Comedy Greenie from HBO’s Project Greenlight), “Made for Each Other” (winner of the Best of The Fest at 72 Fest 2012, Frederick, MD), and “Miss Fortune” (Official Selection for The Women in Comedy Festival 2015, Boston, MA). Tony is a former DC resident, a graduate of the Washington Improv Theater curriculum, and performed with AstroMom and Table Cat in the Harold program prior to moving to Chicago, IL. In DC, he also performed with the indie troupe Trustfall, born out of his level 3 class at WIT in 2015, Beard-y, and the NewlyDeads. He also ran a free monthly Improv Brunch show called Common Ground that was an open mic for improvisers.
