Helper Pony + King Bee: Side Window + Commonwealth: That American Life

Helper Pony- We’re Helper Pony, a DC-based, indie improv troupe that likes to perform long-form stories, and make you laugh while doing it. We’ll be performing a type of “monoscene” named an “Alan Thicke”: basically, we’ll take a suggestion from the audience, improvise it into a zany scene, create a cast of characters who enter and exit this singular scene (in a predetermined order), and wrap it up in one massive, chaotic climax with all of us onstage at once! Cast: Ryan Brookshire, Kat Brewster, Deirdre Daly, Zach Mason, Abel Vandegrift, Mike Waxman

King Bee- Do you know what your neighbors are up to right now? We do. One is baking a cake. One is trying Bikram yoga. And one is planning the takeover of a small Latin American country. (Go ahead, ask them.) In this show, King Bee will use the power of improv to discover what their neighbors are up to.

Commonwealth- Commonwealth records the latest episode of their soon to be world famous podcast examining life as it was meant to be examined – through breathy, pedantic and unironic audio storytelling. We worship Ira Glass and he is invited to every performance. He hasn’t shown up yet but we just know he will. He has to.

Important details:

• Doors open approximately 30 minutes before curtain time. All seating is general admission except for reserved seating, which will be in the first three rows.
• In the case of sold-out shows, seats cannot be held for late arrivals and unclaimed tickets may be resold. This includes reserved seats.
• In the case of a sold-out shows, we may offer a limited number of half-price stand-by tickets. These seats will be on the floor in front of the first row or along the sides
