Hey, are DUOKAY? We’re all craving connection in these crazy times, right? DUOKAY is a show that celebrates the connection between two performers, featuring three duo performances intended to bring some positivity, lightness, and play to your mid-week.
DUOKAY is hosted by BEST PARTY EVER, a duo comprised of Elizabeth Fulton (DC) and Seth Payne (Chicago). Each show features a performance by BEST PARTY EVER and by two other guest duos. Each set is 10-15 minutes. Some duos are local to DC, some are reuniting players who aren’t even in the same time zone anymore!
When two performers connect and make up the whole show, there’s a special power to their connection and the intimacy that can reveal.
For performers, a duo show is a challenge and a gift. It means each player has to generate essentially half the show, but it also tightens focus and can allow fewer distractions.
