The student body presidential election at Valley Hill High School comes but once a year…and this year, election day happens to fall as schools are shutting down due to COVID-19.
The four nominees — overachieving Heather, YouTube influencer Madison, TikTok star Brent, and philosophical nerd Mort — have to duke it out in an online format overseen by their teacher Darla who couldn’t care less, PTA president Deborah who couldn’t care more, and the AV club president Hans who just wants more funding for his program.
Schedule:
- July 31 at 6 PM – A Rona Election on Instagram Live
- Aug. 3 at 12 PM – Episodes 1 and 2 drop on Facebook (supporting Black Lunch Table and Teens Take Charge)
- Aug. 4 at 6 PM – A Rona Election on Instagram Live
- Aug. 5 at 12 PM – Episodes 3 and 4 drop on Facebook (supporting Third Wave Fund, Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and Black Table Arts)

With the cancellation of WIT’s annual fundraiser and the suspension of in-person classes and shows, donations are a lifeline for WIT. We have had to take cost-saving measures including reduced staff hours to account for the cancellation of in-person events.
By making a donation you enable WIT to continue bringing connection and laughter to DC when people are feeling isolated.
