Spurred by a single audience suggestion, WIT’s creative performers spontaneously build entire worlds populated by colorful characters and situations. Each performance is a one-of-a-kind show, never to be seen by another audience.

Jive Turkey: 

Jive Turkey is one of DC’s oldest independent troupes,and since 2008 has been a unique blend of comedy spices blended together to create a mouthwatering taste for the senses. Though some might say we are just two idiots who get together and get our well-paced brand of smart multi-layered improv on when we’re not slaving away at the heels of our oppressive DC jobs for the MAN and to escape our sad little lives. That first thing sounds better though. Sounds like a gourmet pizza. Yeah a pizza, lets go with that. With nationwide performances, numerous festivals and over 25 comedy years between them Jive Turkey stars Joe Randazzo (Sistine Robot) and Chris Ulrich (Nox).

These shows are presented at DC Arts Center in the heart of Adams Morgan.

Please note: Early shows begin at 7:30 PM and late shows begin at 9:30. Washington Improv Theater strives to ensure its shows are accessible to all audiences at our home stage at Source. However, our guest venue DC Arts Center is not accessible to wheelchair users and may be challenging to patrons with limited mobility.
